Gnome pun intended, this is the gnicest little guy in the forest!
Once upon a time, there was a Woodland Gnome named Gnicholas. Gnick lived in a hollow tree stump covered in many coloured toadstools. He had great adventures with the animals of the forest, and loved his quiet life.
Every Christmas, he gathered a sack full of acorns and headed off to the home of his best pal Gnancy, who lived with her Grandma Gnellie in a tiny log cabin some distance away.
Gnancy and Gnick would decorate the Christmas tree and roast the acorns on the pot-bellied woodstove, while Grandma Gnellie baked enough shortbread cookies to feed the entire forest.
Gnellie was a most excellent sort of person, being bi-stitual. She could knit and crochet just about anything! She also spent far too much time on Ravelry. Gnick knew that if he never bothered Grandma when she was counting, and took very good care of the wooly things she made for him, that he would receive lovely things to wear every Christmas.
They all spent many evenings telling stories and singing Gnomish songs, eating roasted acorns and drinking hot chocolate. Although Gnellie was more partial to rum and eggnog.
Eventually, Gnicholas had to return home. So he packed up his cookies and his new cozy sweater, hugged his friends, and headed off back home.
Treat yourself to this little cutie and his favourite things. He can't wait to help your holiday knitting projects!
