Project Bags
Every creation deserves a story, and every purchase can be a force for good.
These gorgeous project bags were developed through a collaboration with MOJA Boutique in Victoria, BC. MOJA is a local social enterprise supporting the OneLove Africa Foundation which provides entrepreneurial development programs for women in remote African villages: teaching women to create profitable, sustainable business ventures, forming peer support groups, and training women to train others.
Empowering Women Locally and Globally
The project bags are made with a stunning African textile called Kitenge - a bold and vibrant batiqued cotton. The fabric is purchased from women entrepreneurs in Tanzania and the project bags are sewn locally in Canada. MOJA provides training and employment to local women with barriers to employment to develop their own sewing business - empowering independence and self-sufficiency.
Experience the joy of crafting with purpose and make a positive impact - because every creation deserves a story, and every purchase can be a force for good.
- Each bag has a light colored cotton lining to make it easier to see inside and find things!
- Each bag is unique - the pattern will vary slightly and photos are a general representation of what the pattern on your bag will look like.
- Fabrics are limited edition - once they're gone, that's it! For some of the bags, there was only enough fabric to make one or two - so if you like it, don't wait because there's no more of that pattern available!
